About the Speaker:

Ben Elder is the Global Director of Valuation at the RICS and is responsible for delivery of the RICS Global Valuation Strategy which has a key role to play in global financial stability through participation by the RICS in the development and application of International Valuation Standards. Ben is well qualified for this role as an Economist and a Chartered Surveyor he is particular interest is the interface of the economy and the property market. In recognition of his expertise, and as a respected academic at Nottingham Trent University and The College of Estate Management, Ben was invited to present the Keynote address to the United Nations Real Estate Advisory Group Summit in Rome in October 2003 on the importance of developing land markets in Easter European Transitional Economies and in particularly EU accession countries.
